[스위스] 로이커바트 온천마을 Leukerbad

스위스에 위치한 로이커바트 온천마을은 로이커바트 기차역에서

30~40분 정도 올라오는 산중의 온천마을이다.

방문시기는 대략 2월쯤이라서 한겨울에 눈으로 덮인 스위스의 매력을

물씬 느낄수 있었다.

로이커바트 온천마을은 높은 산들이 병풍처럼 둘러싸고있어 자연의 위대함을

느낄수 있게 해주는거 같다.

아래의 사진에서 보는것처럼 이런멋진 배경에 야외온천을 만들어

온천을 하며 마음껏 풍경을 즐길수있도록 여행자들을 배려하였다.

또한 밖으로 나와 길을따라 올라가다보면 산위로 올라가는 케이블카를 탈수있다.

우리도 호기심에 케이블카를 타고 정상까지 올라가보았는데 가는중간중간 산위에서 

스키를 즐기는 사람들이 제법 많았다.ㅋㅋ

기회가 된다면 한번 시도해 볼만 할거 같다.ㅎ

[이탈리아 로마] 그리운 한국음식.

유럽여행중 누구나 느끼겠지만 일주일 정도가 지나면 

한국음식 생각이 간절해진다.

그리운 한국음식을 생각하며 호텔및 레스토랑에서 라이스혹은 리조또라고

쓰여있는 메뉴는 모조리 시켜보았지만 우리나같은 

음식은 나오지 않았다. 당연한거겠지........

알프스에 온듯한 기분이 들게해주는 풍경속에 자리잡고 있는 

스위스 더 캠프리안호텔.

한겨울 실외 풀장에 누워서 감상하는 경치란 말로 표현할수 

없을만큼 아름답다.

아직 스위스의 많은 지역을 다녀보지 않았지만 아델보덴에 위치한

더캠프리안 호텔 하나만으로도 자연환경으로 축복받은 스위스를 

대신해주는거 같다.

프랑스, 이탈리아, 체코 같은 나라에서 빡빡한 관광일정을 보냈다면

프랑스와 이탈리아 사이에 위치한 스위스에서 잠시나마 치친몸을 

쉬어가는것도 하나의 방법이 될거 같다.

우리가 장난삼아 자주 사용하는 말중에 삼보전진을 위한 일보후퇴라는

말이 있듯이..ㅋㅋ

[이탈리아] Rome and Florence food list Infomation.

Designed in 1869 by Florentine architect Giuseppe Poggi, Piazzale Michelangelo offers panoramic views of Florence and the Arno valley and is a popular spot with locals and tourists.

Created as part of major restructuring of the city walls in 1869, Poggi's sumptuous terrace is typically 19th century. Poggi designed a monument base dedicated to Michelangelo, where copies of Michelangelo's works, including the David and Medici chapel sculptures from San Lorenzo would be displayed. When the terrace was finished, Poggi designed the hillside building with loggia as a museum for Michelangelo's works. For some reason, Poggi's project was not realized as it was intended. The building that was to be a museum is now a restaurant.

Today, the piazza is filled with tourists, vendors, and a bronze replica of Michelangelo's David. Just remember that most of Piazzale Michelangelo is a parking lot, and one comes here to enjoy the view. It can be reached by taking either bus 12 or 13 from the center or the red two-level sightseeing tour bus. It can also be reached by foot, climbing up from Piazza Poggi found at the base of the hill upon which Piazzale Michelangelo sits.

Diving and Snorkeling Tours

Locals say visitors do not really experience Saipan unless they take a look at the waters from below the surface. Scuba tour guides take diving enthusiasts on underwater excursions, visiting places like the Blue Grotto. Tunnels connect sections of this underwater cavern, Saipan's most popular underwater site. The inside dome is as high as a church, and divers swim with sea turtles, sharks, manta rays and tuna. Other sites include Wing Beach where octopi glide in the depths among World War II plane remnants. Coral reefs surround small open pools, and one site features black coral. Tour guides offer beginner trips that include scuba instruction. Tours also take snorkelers to the Blue Grotto for crystal clear views of underwater coral and sea life.

Marine Activity Tours

Managaha Island, a tiny isle just off the coast, boasts one of the finest white sand beaches in the Marianas. Tours offer a variety of activities such as snorkeling to view rich marine life. Different tours offer various methods to get to the island, such as speedboat or a banana boat, a long narrow vessel where the passengers do the rowing. Other tours offer a banana boat to the island, with a parasailing return. Free time on the island allows use of canoes, beach chairs, pedal boats and wakeboards. Anglers may choose a fishing tour and try their luck at catching marlin, mahi-mahi or tuna. Dolphins often swim next to the boat.

Land Tours

Tour operators take visitors to the Saipan Botanical Gardens where flora displays feature Saipan fruits, vegetables and other plants. The Saipan Zoo features animals indigenous to Saipan and Micronesia. Visitors can explore several World War II sites, including Suicide Cliff, a mountainous butte where Japanese soldiers jumped to their death after losing the battle with the Americans. Banzai Cliff, which overlooks the ocean, was another site for the suicides. Various memorials and temples dot the area. At Bird Island Lookout, visitors can gaze out to the island surrounded by sea; during low tide, more adventurous tourists can walk to the island. Tours may also visit Mount Tapochau, at 1,545 feet, Saipan's highest point; excursions drop off hikers to experience the spectacular views from the top.

Other Sites and Tour Information

The American Memorial Park honors the more than 5,000 Americans who lost their lives in Saipan during World War II, where a carillon bell tower plays anthems. Almost 1,000 names of local Mariana Island citizens who also lost their lives are honored at another memorial.

U.S. mainland military tour operators offer periodic tours to Micronesia that includes a day in Saipan, and some local Saipan guides will customize a tour according to the needs of the customer. Small vans take tourists to a variety of sites on the island and vary in price according to the number of passengers on the tour.

Florence and Rome are two of the most famous cities of Italy. Since the two cities are located near to each other, most travelers find it suitable to visit them both in a single journey which can be completed by boarding a train from Rome to Florence. The city-state of Vatican City is one of the travel destinations in Rome. There is also the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. Florence too has a lot to offer in terms of history, for instance the Renaissance art of Michelangelo and the amazing architecture of Il Duomo.

Frecciarossa Train from Rome to Florence

• Average price: 35 €
• Travel time: The Frecciarossa and Frecciargento trains take passengers from Rome to Florence without stopping anywhere. It takes them about one and half hours to complete the journey, but the times can vary depending on the condition of the traffic. The Frecciarossa trains take the high-speed route in between Milan and Rome while the Frecciargento trains take the traditional tracks.
• Stations: The two stations that are used by the High-speed trains for transporting travelers between Rome and Florence are the Firenze Santa Maria Novella and the Roma Termini. Both stations are located near the city centers of the respective cities.

Frecciarossa and Frecciargento trains have padded seats in both first and second class which are quite wide and have built-in headrests. The Frecciarossa trains offer Wi-Fi internet to the passengers and can travel at speeds of up to 225 mph. The Frecciargento trains can reach speeds of up to 150 mph. Both trains usually have a restaurant car that provides waiter service as well as three-course meals to the passengers.

Intercity and Regional Train from Rome to Florence

• Travel time: The intercity trains take in excess of three hours to transport passengers from Rome to Florence and stop approximately six times during the journey. The regional trains on the other hand are even slower and complete the same journey in about four hours, stopping 16 times in the process. It is advisable for the passengers to arrive 10 minutes before the departure time of the train so that they can find their seat with ease.
• Stations: The Firenze Rifredi, Roma Tiburtina and Firenze Campo di Marte are some of the peripheral stations from which the intercity and regional trains usually begin or end their journeys. They also stop at other stations present in the cities.

Intercity trains provide most of the luxuries that are offered by the high speed trains. They offer power outlets to the passengers and even have a bar car as well. Seating arrangement is done in such a way that the passengers sit facing each other in groups of four or six. You must make reservations beforehand if you want to travel in the intercity or the high-speed trains. The regional trains do not offer many amenities and mostly have second-class cars only. Maintenance of these trains is also not done as regularly as that of intercity and high-speed trains.

How to Buy Your Ticket for Train from Rome to Florence

You can go to the Trenitalia website, the official website of the national rail network in Italy if you want to book your ticket from a foreign country. These online tickets can be booked 24 hours in advance and can be paid via MasterCard, Visa, Diners or Amex Club card. You will receive a payment receipt in your email that you will have to show to the train conductor. The Roma Termini’s biglietteria or the ticket office is the place you should go to if you want to buy train tickets in Rome or at a train station in Italy. There are silver and yellow self-service kiosks located near the car and bus drop-off area which can be used for buying train tickets as well.
Note: The Trenitalia website uses abbreviations like Roma Te and FI.SMN to denote the main stations in the two cities. Do remember to check that departure and arrival stations are the right ones located in each city when booking tickets for your train trip.
